Payment Methods
Farmers Electric Cooperative offers several convenient options for paying your electric bill. You can choose from traditional methods like mailing a check or using our automatic bank draft plan, or take advantage of our online tools, such as SmartHub, to pay your bill quickly and easily.
Paying by Mail
To pay your electric bill by mail, simply send a check or money order along with the payment coupon from your bill to:

Automatic Bank Draft Plan
Farmers Electric Cooperative offers a FREE automatic bank draft plan that allows you to automatically pay your electric bill each month. To sign up for this plan, print the appropriate form from our website, complete the application, and mail it, along with a blank voided check, to:

Once your application is processed, the amount of your electric bill will be automatically deducted from your checking or savings account by the due date. You will still receive a monthly statement about 12 days prior to your scheduled bank draft, and you can view your usage and report an outage through our SmartHub site.
SmartHub
SmartHub is a secure, user-friendly platform that allows you to monitor your electric usage, report an outage, and pay your bill online. With SmartHub, you can:
- View your current bill and account history
- Submit changes of address, telephone, social security number, or other personal information
- Use your Amex, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa to pay your bill
- Write an “Electronic Check” to pay your bill online
- Set up recurring credit/debit card payments
To sign up for SmartHub, visit our website and follow the prompts to create an account. You will need your account number and a valid email address to get started.
Payment Stations
Farmers Electric Cooperative has authorized MoneyGram Express Pay, Fidelity Express, and Western Union Connect to Collect to accept payments. You can pay your bill while running errands and have the payment credited to your account the same day.
MoneyGram Express Pay
At participating Wal-Mart, CVS/pharmacy, and other locations, you can complete a blue ExpressPayment form with the following information:
- Account Number: Your Farmers EC account number
- Company Name: Farmers Electric Cooperative
- City/State: Greenville, TX
At other MoneyGram Express Pay locations, including CVS/pharmacy, you can follow these steps:
- Pick up the red MoneyGram phone – it will auto dial MoneyGram Customer Service
- When prompted for the transaction type, select Pay a Bill from the menu list
- Enter your telephone number
- You will then be connected to a live MoneyGram agent who will ask you to confirm your telephone number, name, address, account number, the amount of your payment, and the Farmers EC Receiver Code of 7478.
- You will need to write down the information from the MoneyGram agent and take it to the cashier who will collect the cash and complete the payment.
Fidelity Express
At participating locations, including Walgreens, K-Mart, H-E-B, Kroger, and Brookshires, you can use Fidelity Express to pay your bill. You will need to take your bill stub to the clerk, and the clerk will image the stub when you make your payment and return it to you with your proof of payment receipt.
Western Union
Western Union offers real-time payment solutions at participating stores. To make a payment, you can provide your bill statement or provide the transaction details verbally to the Western Union agent. You will need the following information:
- Biller’s Name: FARMERSELECTRIC TX
- Account Number: Your Farmers EC account number
- Payment Amount
