Are you looking for ways to pay your electric bill? Look no further! Dickson Electric System offers a variety of payment options for your convenience. You can choose from online payment portals, automatic bank drafts, mail-in payments, phone payments, and in-person payments at various locations.

Online Payment Portal

You can pay your bill online using an electronic check or your debit/credit card. To get started, visit the Dickson Electric System website and click on the “Your Account” tab. Then, select “Payment & Billing Options” and follow the prompts to make a payment. You will need to have your full electric account number available to pay online.

Please note that landfill payments must be made using a separate transaction from electric bill payments. You will also be charged a small fee for each transaction made using these payment methods.

Automatic Bank Draft

Signing up for Automatic Bank Draft is a convenient way to ensure that your electric bill is paid on time every month. With this option, the amount of your bill will automatically be deducted from your checking account on the due date. To sign up, you will need to complete the Bank Draft Authorization Form (PDF) and bring it, along with a voided check, to the Dickson Electric System office.

You can also pay your bill by mail using a check or money order. Send the payment stub at the bottom of your bill, along with a check or money order, to the Dickson Electric System address listed below. Please be sure to include your account number on the check or money order.

Phone Payments

Call (877) 775-5866 to pay your bill over the phone using a check or credit card. Have your account numbers and payment information ready for reference. Please be advised that there is a small fee for using a credit or debit card.

In-Person Payments

You can also pay your bill in person by visiting the Dickson Electric System office at 236 Cowan Road in Dickson. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also pay at various locations throughout the community, including Water Authority of Dickson County, Greater Dickson Gas Authority, Bank of Dickson, and First Federal Bank.

Easy Pay

Dickson Electric System also offers an Easy Pay option for residential customers. This is a pay-as-you-go electric service that functions like a gas tank in your car. You make payments throughout the month, and those payments purchase electricity for you to use. As your balance gets low, you make additional payments to “refill” your account.

To set up Easy Pay, customers must visit the Dickson Electric System office in person. A minimum initial payment of $100 is required to start the prepaid service. Customers must also provide all necessary requirements and documentation to establish the prepaid electric service.

Levelized Billing

Levelized billing is designed to help customers avoid large fluctuations in their monthly electric bills. It keeps your electric bill predictable and helps you to accurately anticipate your monthly payment amount. With levelized billing, your monthly electric bill is a rolling average of your usage for the past 12 months.

To qualify for levelized billing, you must be a DES customer for 12 months at the same location and be current on your electric bill. Download the Levelized Billing Application (PDF) and return it to the Dickson Electric System office.
