City of Statesville Bill Pay
Introduction:
Welcome to the City of Statesville’s bill pay portal! This page will guide you through the process of paying your utility bills online, by mail, or in person. Please note that we can only accept payments for utility bills and not for other miscellaneous fees.
Online Payment:
The City of Statesville offers an online payment option for utility bills. You can pay your bill by clicking the “Online Payment” button on the website. Please have your account number and house number handy, as you will need this information to make your payment. You can use Visa, MasterCard, or Discover credit cards to make your payment.
If you have experienced difficulties in accessing your account, please click here for further instructions.
Mail Payment:
You can also pay your utility bill by mail. Please send your check or money order to the address below:

301 S. Center Street
Statesville, NC 28687
Please make sure to include your account number and house number on the check or money order.
In-Person Payment:
You can also pay your utility bill in person at the City of Statesville’s office located at 301 S. Center Street, Statesville, NC 28687. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. We accept cash, check, money order, debit cards, and credit cards.
Drop Box:
A drop box is located on the front of the City Office Building at 301 S. Center Street. Only checks and money orders can be paid through the drop box. Please do not deposit cash in the drop box. Payments will not be processed until the next business day.
Drive-Through:
The drive-through is available Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, for customers who have their bill and wish to make a payment. If you need assistance with your account number or your balance due, you must come in to the lobby. Debit and credit card payments may not be taken through the drive-through.
E-Billing:
Statesville Utility customers can receive an email notifying them that their utility bill is ready. E-billing helps avoid mailing delays, gives you one less piece of mail to sort through, helps keep up with your bill (you always know where it is), and lets you do your part for the environment by saving trees, energy, and resources. To sign up, look at the green box on the front of your monthly utility bill. Follow the directions in the box to register for E-billing.
Meter Reading:
Electric and water meters are read by the City every month. Each meter will be read monthly unless the meter is inaccessible because of an obstruction or unsafe condition. It is the customer’s responsibility to keep the meter accessible. If the meter cannot be accessed, the consumption will be estimated. Estimated consumptions may be lower or higher than past actual consumptions. Meter readings are cumulative, so that an actual reading will correct any past over or under estimations.
Returned Checks:
A $25 fee is assessed for each returned check. Once 2 checks have been returned on your account within any 12-month period, the City will only accept cash, certified check, money order, or debit card for payment during the next 12 months. Returned checks containing reconnect fees will result in immediate utility disconnection.
