Paying your water bill online has never been easier! The City of Sanford offers two ways to pay your utility bill online: X-Press Pay and Click2Gov. Both options provide convenient, quick, and secure payment methods.
X-Press Pay
X-Press Pay is a fast and easy way to make a one-time payment. All you need is your account number and a credit or debit card. You can pay online using X-Press Pay by visiting the City of Sanford’s website and clicking on the “X-Press Pay” button. Follow the prompts to enter your account information and complete the payment process.
Click2Gov
Click2Gov is a more comprehensive online payment option that allows you to access your account and billing history online. With Click2Gov, you can make one-time payments, set up reoccurring payments, and view your billing history. To use Click2Gov, visit the City of Sanford’s website and click on the “Click2Gov” button. Follow the prompts to register for an account, and then you can make a payment using your credit or debit card.
In Person Payments
If you prefer to pay your water bill in person, you can do so at the City Hall Utility Customer Service Desk. You can pay with cash, money order, or check. Please note that if your bill is past due or your account is terminated, you will need to make a payment in person or over the phone with a live representative.
By Phone Payments
You can also pay your water bill over the phone by calling 1.800.830.9098. Have your account number ready and follow the automated prompts to make a payment using your credit card.
Amscot/Walmart Payments
Another option for paying your water bill is to use Amscot or Walmart. You can pay your bill at any Amscot or Walmart location using cash or a pin-based debit card. Wal-Mart charges a standard payment fee of $1.00 for delivery within 3 business days or $1.50 for next-day service delivery. Amscot charges a $1.50 convenience fee for next-day service delivery. Payments made through Amscot or Walmart take 1-5 business days to post.
Drop Box Payments
If you prefer to drop off your payment, you can use the payment drop box located in the City Hall parking lot. Please note that only checks or money orders are accepted in the drop box, and cash is not accepted.
Important Information
- If your service is past due or disconnected, you will need to make a payment in person or over the phone with a live representative.
- If you want to pay a deposit or application fee, you cannot use the online payment methods.
- There are no fees associated with using the online payment methods.
- Online payments update on the next business day.
- Payments made through Amscot or Walmart take 1-5 business days to post.
